The Internationalization Strategy of Kyiv National Linguistic University (hereinafter as the University) complies with the current legislation of Ukraine - the Law of Ukraine "On Education", the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", other regulatory legal acts on higher education, as well as the University's Statute.
The goal is to achieve a high level of competitiveness in the educational, research and international activities of the University, to ensure a worthy and effective entry of the University into the world humanitarian and educational space, to promote the widespread implementation of internationalization processes at the University through the establishment of mutually beneficial international relations with foreign Universities, international scientific institutions, educational organizations, centers, associations and foundations.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES OF THE UNIVERSITY'S INTERNATIONALIZATION:
- Strengthening the reputation and rating of the University as one of the leading centers of linguistic education, philological science and international relations in Europe;
- Implementation of fruitful realization of international agreements on cooperation between the University and foreign higher education institutions / research institutions-partners;
- Establishing new international relations and cooperation with centers of Ukrainian studies abroad;
- Directing the work of the University to improve the quality of higher education, the effectiveness of research and the harmonization of higher education standards;
- Ensuring the competitiveness of the University's graduates in the Ukrainian and international markets of educational services and labor;
- Increasing the number of foreign students at the University by providing a wide range of educational services;
- Providing wide opportunities and new effective forms of realization of the right to academic mobility to participants of the educational process of the University;
- Gaining experience in implementing other models of knowledge creation and dissemination and deepening integration processes in education and research by participants of the University's educational process;
- Promoting the activation of the dissemination of the results of scientific research of university scientists through publications in scientific journals included in the international databases Web of Science, Scopus;
- Intensification of the University's participation in international grant programmes, projects, international educational and scientific events;
- Obtaining full or associate membership in leading international educational and scientific organizations, associations, and societies.

The international cooperation of the University is directed to the implementation of measures to ensure the integration of the University into the world educational space. This is realized through active international partnerships, enhancing the international authority of the KNLU diploma, internationalization of the educational process through the implementation of international academic mobility programmes. The University promotes international exchange of students, PhD students, faculty, participates in international linguistic and educational projects, programmes, cultural events, scientific conferences, and has a Double Diploma programme.
The University invites foreign students, PhD students, and teachers to study and do internships.
There are 71 higher education institutions / organizations in Europe and Asia that are partners of the KNLU. The largest number of international contacts has been established with higher education institutions of the Republic of Poland (6), the Federal Republic of Germany (5), Japan (4), the Republic of Korea (13), the People's Republic of China (7), the Republic of Turkey (4), the Kingdom of Spain (6), the French Republic (2), etc. The KNLU cooperates with foreign embassies in Ukraine, Ukrainian embassies abroad, international organizations, centers and foundations.
