KNLU (Kyiv National Linguistic University)
Museum of University History
Kyiv National Linguistic University has come a long way, navigating a long and complex journey marked by significant achievements in numerous fields of foreign philology. The names of its lecturers, associate professors, and professors are closely tied to the brightest pages in the history of Ukrainian linguistics. They have driven the establishment of fundamental scientific ideas, schools, and research areas that continue to shape the mainstream development of domestic philological science today. Over the years, each generation of faculty and students has added to the glory of their alma mater, securing our university's leadership position among higher education institutions of this specialization.
One of the university's most valuable assets, its pride, and its golden treasury, has always been and remains its academic schools. To a large extent, they define the scientific potential and development prospects of the university as a prominent scientific, methodological, and linguistic hub in Ukraine, well-known both in Europe and worldwide. The university has established and successfully runs academic schools in linguistics and foreign language teaching methods, which began to take root as early as the beginning of the 1960s, as well as schools in pedagogy, psychology, history, and other fields of science that emerged in the 1990s.
