Kyiv National Linguistic University is one of the leading Ukrainian centers of philological training and translation where over 20 foreign languages are taught. Thus, as a leading University for linguistic education in Ukraine we aim at the promotion of our reputation and visibility internationally through the scope of academic mobility programmes, variety of projects and research engagement for developing future language professionals in Ukraine and abroad. This strategy is realized in the following areas: international university cooperation; international cooperation with embassies, funds, associations, educational, cultural and scientific centers; academic mobility programmes for students, postgraduates and teachers of KNLU; exchange programmes for international students; international competitions, conferences and summer schools; Erasmus+ programmes; Confucius Institute of KNLU; information analysis work. 73 higher educational institutions / organizations in Europe, the Middle and Far East and North America are partners of KNLU. Our University fruitfully cooperates with higher educational institutions of such countries: the Federal Republic of Germany; the Republic of Poland; the Czech Republic; the Kingdom of Spain; Japan; the Republic of Cyprus; the Republic of Azerbaijan; the Italian Republic; the French Republic; the Portuguese Republic; the People’s Republic of China; the Republic of Korea; the Republic of Turkey. Kyiv National Linguistic University concludes new Framework Agreements and Memoranda with foreign higher education institutions, Annexes on implementation to existing Cooperation Agreements, Agreements with foreign HEIs-partners on the University's participation in Erasmus+ international academic mobility programmes. The largest number of international contacts was established with the higher education Institutions of the Republic of Korea (13), the Kingdom of Spain (6), the Republic of Poland (6), the Federal Republic of Germany (5), the People's Republic of China (7), Japan (4), the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria (4), the Republic of Turkey (4), etc. KNLU cooperates with foreign embassies, international organizations, centers and foundations. International activities of the University aim at implementing measures to ensure the integration of the University to the world educational space. This is achieved through active international partnerships, increase of international prestige of KNLU diploma, internationalization of the educational process through the introduction of international academic mobility programmes.
The University promotes the exchange of students, postgraduate students, professors and teachers. It encourages participation in international meetings, linguistic and educational programmes, cultural events, conferences.
Erasmus+ is an exchange programme of students, teachers and scientists of the member states of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway and Turkey. The programme provides an opportunity to study, do an internship or teach in another country participating in the programme.
